Short answer: To convert JPG to PDF, drop the photo above, choose PDF and click Convert. Each picture becomes its own one-page PDF sized to the photo. Nothing is uploaded, which matters for IDs, contracts and receipts.

Forms, banks, schools and landlords love to ask for a PDF, while your document is a photo you took with a phone. This page wraps each JPG in a PDF page sized to match the picture, directly in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, which matters when the picture is an ID, a contract or a signed letter. Drop one photo or a whole batch, and download the PDFs in a single ZIP.

How does the conversion work?

Each image becomes its own one-page PDF. The page takes the shape of the picture, so a tall receipt gives a tall page and a landscape photo gives a wide one. The picture is embedded as a JPEG, and the quality slider in Advanced options controls how strongly it is compressed. A higher setting looks crisper and makes a larger file, a lower setting suits email attachments. This page does not merge several pictures into one PDF; you get one PDF for every picture.

Good uses for a PDF made from a photo

Typical jobs are submitting a scanned form, sending a signed page, attaching a receipt to an expense report, sharing a flyer that must look the same on every device and handing in homework photographed with a phone. A PDF will not be re-sized or re-compressed by messaging apps the way a picture often is, so it arrives in the quality you chose. For official documents, take the photo in even light with the page flat.

What problems can happen?

Very large photos make heavy PDFs, so lower the quality or use the resize option before converting if a portal has a size limit. Text in a photo is still a picture, which means it cannot be searched or copied, because this tool does not read the words. If the file is rejected for page size, remember it follows your photo's proportions rather than a standard A4 sheet. Transparent areas, which JPG does not have, are not a concern here.

Preparing a document photo properly

A little care before you take the photo saves trouble later. Place the page on a flat, plain surface in even light, hold the phone directly above it and keep the edges inside the frame. Crop away the table around the paper in your photo app, then convert. If the receiving website sets a size limit, try a quality of 70 in Advanced options, or set the width to 1600 pixels, which still reads clearly on screen and in print. Check the converted PDF once before sending it, zooming in on any small numbers or signatures.

Questions people ask

Can I combine several JPGs into one PDF?

Not on this page. Each picture becomes its own one-page PDF, and a batch is downloaded as a ZIP of PDFs.

Is the text in my photo searchable afterwards?

No. The picture is placed inside the PDF as an image, so the words in it cannot be searched or copied.

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is built in your browser, so IDs and contracts never leave your device.

Why does my PDF look sideways on the computer but fine on the phone?

Phones store a rotation flag instead of rotating the pixels. ManyFormat follows that flag when it builds the page, so check the original photo's orientation on your phone if a page still looks wrong.

Will an office accept a photo as a PDF instead of a scan?

Often, if the page is flat, well lit and readable. Fill the frame with the paper, avoid shadows and check the text at full size before you send it.
